You’re confident you can knock it out of the park in a certain role, but your resume doesn’t include the listed requirements. When you’re seeking to pivot from one industry or career to another, the roadblocks are seemingly endless. In this workshop Kay & Black Talent Management’s Hillary Black and Kathryn Freund shared a recruiter’s perspective on how to navigate a successful career transition.
With over 25 years of experience in advertising, they help candidates and clients at the crossroads of transitions and opportunities every day. Over the course of thousands of candidate placements and career transitions made, they know a thing or two about how to reinvent yourself, and how to always continue to highlight your strengths and grow your skills.
Hillary and Kathryn have also both gone through several of their own career evolutions, from front desk admin to CEO and graphic designer to a career coach. They shared personal stories and experiences with career pivots and transitions, provided tips and tricks they’ve picked up along the way, and answered audience questions.
