It’s weird to put a number on yourself. But we all have to do it – whether you’re negotiating for a job or raising money for your startup – you need to translate your value into money and then defend it. Let’s talk about it.
This town hall (the first of 2017!) will feature the stories of women who’ve gone through this, whether it’s a freelancer convincing a client to pay her day rate, or a startup founder pitching a VC to give her millions of dollars. This town hall will include a new element: breakout groups, led by each of the speakers. As always we encourage you to speak up and share your story. And then go get paid. *
Speakers will include:
- Jordana Kier, co-founder of LOLA
- Julia Rothman, illustrator & co-founder of Women Who Draw
- Jacquelyn De Jesu, founder of SHHHOWERCAP
- Hillary Black, co-founder of Kay & Black
- Ashley Feinstein Gerstley, aka the Fiscal Femme
- Jamie Lee, coach at She Negotiates
- Vivian Giang, Editor in Chief at Deloitte and freelance journalist
