For over 25 years, Leslie Kay and Hillary Black have been connecting top pedigree talent with advertising agencies, branding firms and direct-to-clients. Leslie, Hillary and the firm’s team of talent managers specialize in identifying, educating and counseling talent in all areas of career development, with an established reputation for their approach to staffing – driven by human insight and integrity.

Through three core service offerings, Kay & Black offers talent acquisition, outplacement services, and coaching through learning and development workshops. We believe in nurturing talent as well as advocating for our clients’ needs so that all can find their most successful and satisfying career relationship.

Kay & Black is also equally set to respond to the ever-changing advertising atmosphere and client needs in a constantly evolving landscape. Together, we are equipped not only to locate the best talent for your openings, but to understand each unique culture to properly match the human behind the talent. KAY & BLACK | TALENT ACQUISITION

Kay & Black’s core division recruits and represents talent at all stages in their careers, from entry to executive level.

We place freelance (temporary) and full-time (permanent) talent in the following roles and categories: Art Directors, Copywriters, Designers (UX/UI/Graphic/Branding), Producers, Project Managers, Account Executives, Strategists, New Business Managers, Social Media Specialists, Creative Recruiters, Creative Service Directors, Resource Managers and Talent Acquisition experts, among others. 

This pool of talent works in the following mediums: digital (web/mobile/apps), social, broadcast, experiential, print and content. 

Campus | PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Campus educates all levels of talent, from those who have recently graduated to those who are seasoned professionals.

Through educational panels, workshops, lunch & learn sessions, career boot camps and more, we educate talent to fulfill their career goals armed with current, hands-on industry knowledge. Campus was originally created when the Kay & Black team recognized that talent didn’t always have the tools beyond their resume and or portfolio to feel confident. In a time of great change in our industry, Campus was created to support talent beyond the job application and then it grew in to so much more.

Past and upcoming panel topics include: diversity and inclusion, salary and benefit negotiations, ageism, mastering workplace conversations, networking, personal branding, portfolio and website best practices, using LinkedIn as a tool, interview tips, how to handle critique and feedback, and building successful partnerships.

Whether talent is in the process of landing a job or advocating for themselves in their current role, we assist in successfully navigating their careers within their industry of expertise. We collaborate with industry partners and experts to provide talent with the best and most resourceful industry knowledge and insights.

perQ | COACHING & OUTPLACEMENT

perQ coaches and consults entry to executive-level talent in one-on-one sessions to support both individuals as well as firms in need of outplacement services.

perQ tailors its offerings based on each individuals’ needs — whether it’s working through a job or career change, navigating a current role, or moving forward after unfortunate layoffs. perQ delivers customized offerings to empower talent to step boldly into the next great opportunity, and can coach talent on many topics including: career & job transitions, personal branding, portfolio, website and resume-building, job search and networking strategies, interview preparation, salary and benefits negotiation skills, handling difficult workplace conversations and more. perQ’S mission overall is to provide invaluable, hands-on expertise to empower talent to find fulfillment in their career and life’s journey.
